Senior Pastor of VBVF

Tony Caffey is a native Texan, growing up in the Austin, Texas area. He is married to his beautiful wife, Sanja, and together they have one son, Alastair.

Tony is a graduate of Moody Theological Seminary (MDiv) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (ThM, PhD). He served as senior pastor of Harvest Decatur in Decatur, Illinois, for fourteen years before moving back to Texas in 2022 to pastor VBVF. His personal mission statement is, “Teach, Preach, Lead, Love, Muse!” He is giving himself to preaching, teaching, leading, counseling, disciple-making, praying, and worshipping Christ in the local church.

Tony’s hobbies include playing sports (especially basketball), watching movies, traveling, singing, playing guitar, reading, and playing games with his wife and son. In terms of sports teams, he is particularly fond of the University of Texas (Hook’em Horns), the San Antonio Spurs, and the Denver Broncos.

His theme verse for life and ministry is Romans 12:1-2. "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
