Roots Youth Ministry
“[…]so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
At Roots youth ministry, we believe that students are in need of authentic relationships with adults who will engage with them through the mess of life. In 1 Thessalonians 2:8 we read of Paul and his companions’ desire to not only share the Gospel, but also their lives with the Thessalonians. Our hope is to follow in those footsteps with students. Our understanding of discipleship is one that encompasses all of life and cannot be boiled down to meeting for teaching once a week. We believe that if students are really going to learn what it is to live and walk with Jesus, then they need to have intentional adults in their lives who do not hide their faults, but point them to Jesus in the middle of them.
